*Marketing — Healthy Dine Out will tweet your menu showcase out to the public, post it on our National Instagram account, and display it on our Facebook page. We will also be sending you a sticker to place on your restaurant window or door for the public to see you offer Healthy Dine Out options!

(RD stands for Registered Dietitian, or RDN stands for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist)

Registered Dietitians (RD)

  • A Registered Dietitian is a health professional who:
  • Holds a specialized Bachelor of Science degree in Food and Nutrition from an accredited university program
  • Has at least 1 year of practical training (internship) within various hospital and community healthcare settings.
  • Has successfully passed a national board exam and is registered with a provincial regulatory body such as the College of Dietitians of Alberta, or another regulatory body in your location.
  • Actively updates their skill and knowledge in the field each year to maintain competency
  • The term Registered Dietitian is protected by law, only qualified practitioners can use the titles Dietitian, Registered Dietitian, Registered Nutritionist, Registered Dietician Nutritionist. Some dietitians refer to themselves as nutritionists, but not all nutritionists are dietitians.
