I was lucky enough to be in the great company of the very creator of Healthy Dineout as we decided to go to a new restaurant neither of us had been to. So we checked out the menu from The Yellow Door and decided that we should check it out for the full experience! The décor is amazing, beautiful and unique. The atmosphere was very relaxing as well. They were able to substitute for gluten-free at my request and had many dairy-free options as well. I highly recommend this restaurant and have deemed it Amber Approved for it’s healthy options without the use of gluten, dairy and refined sugar.
The service was absolutely amazing. Our waitress was very know ledged and accommodating about answering questions about the menu. The chef was very mindful about my request for gluten-free and pretty much any option on the menu could be made with a gluten-free option. They brought out gluten-free bread and a delicious sample of the Beef Tenderloin Tartare which was simple and delicious. I ordered the Orange Cardamom Glazed Chicken Breast and swapped out the couscous salad for roasted veggies, which was pretty delicious. I love cardamom so it was a great flavor for the dish. Since I’m such a spice lover, I would have added a bit more of the cardamom, but everyone has their tolerance for taste buds. The dish was the perfect portion size and I was just the right amount of full.
